Semen Gresik RML Achievement Index Score Exceeds the Target
Rembang, January 31, 2021 - PT Semen Gresik (SG) assesses the Risk Maturity Level (RML) within its organization. The goal is to evaluate the maturity of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) implementation that the company has run and is currently running.
The Head of Legal Bureau and GRC Semen Gresik, Ahmad Jibril, stated that the RML assessment was carried out to show the initial evaluation results (measurement and testing) by describing ERM implementation's actual conditions at PT Semen Gresik.
As a part of PT Semen Indonesia Tbk. (Persero) or SIG, he added, this assessment also intended to identify and reveal the aspects of ERM that have been successfully run or which still required refinement and/or development, as well as proposed recommendations including a roadmap for the next three years.
"It aims to further optimize the ERM implementation at PT Semen Gresik. In addition, it also intends to identify and review the maturity level of ERM implementation within the company," said the man commonly called Jibril in a press release, Sunday (31 / 01).
He continued that the RML assessment in the scope of Semen Gresik was first carried out in 2020. As a result, Semen Gresik received a total achievement score of 51 percent with an achievement index of 3.49 and a repeatable maturity level.
Jibril mentioned that the repeatable level represented that the risk management system framework had been developed and was ensured to be run repetitively. It is indicated by the system actors' capability, which has been gradually improved, and budget allocations for risk control have been carried out.
"It is pretty good since our primary target is at the initial level. We are working with an independent consultant for the RML assessment to obtain an objective assessment result," shared Jibril.
Jibril highlighted that Semen Gresik had plenty of opportunities and resources to increase the achievement index in 2020. The essential tasks to execute included cultivating a risk management culture in all employees and adjusting them to carry out risk analysis in every decision making.
In addition, it is also necessary to increase the competence of each risk officer in each unit. The aim is to catalyze the acceleration of a risk management culture. "In 2021, we are targeting to accomplish an achievement index of 3.6," Jibril pointed.
